For those of you looking for a truly remarkable and unforgettable wedding venue in Downtown Baltimore, look no further than the Baltimore Museum of Industry! Whether you are looking for a more casual affair or a black tie gala, the BMI is perfect for you.

Conveniently located right off of Key Highway, the BMI offers several indoor and outdoor spaces for your private event. From the Decker Gallery and Industry Terrace to the Pavilion and Point, your guests will experience sweeping views of the Inner Harbor (my favorite photo opp is with the Domino Sugar sign!).

Inside the Gallery, you can opt to have several exhibits open for your guests. The Machine Shop, Cannery, Garment Loft and Print Shop can be open during cocktail hour, offering your guests an educational and entertaining experience unique to the BMI. You can even choose to have museum teachers in each exhibit, explaining the gallery and answering any questions your guests might have. The fact that 95% of the equipment in the BMI is still functioning is fascinating to me!

Accommodating anywhere from 150 to 500 guests, the BMI offers a selective list of preferred caterers. Because the BMI is so flexible, you would work with your caterer to create and finalize a working floor plan based on the style of food you have chosen to serve your guests. Another perk is that the BMI only does one event per day! The venue offers plenty of room for a dance floor, food stations and bars, and even photo booths! Both DJ’s and live bands are welcome at the BMI with music outside ending at 11pm (according to the Baltimore City noise ordinance). A theater is available to you at no additional fee if you want to have a slide show or video on loop throughout your event. Plus, this is another great photo opp!

As if you didn’t just fall in love with the BMI, wait there’s more! Over 200 parking spaces are available to your guests for free during your event. FOR FREE. Where in the city does free parking for over 200 cars even exist?! We will go ahead and call that the icing on the cake folks! The Baltimore Museum of Industry has quickly become one of NoLo’s favorite venues in Baltimore. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind wedding venue, contact the BMI today!
